Since writing the guest post there has been some real progress for us at church – the last two times Mikey has been to church he has stayed for a large proportion of his Sunday club group! It’s amazing (actually it feels miraculous) and is largely due to the excellent team approach from our minister, the Sunday club leaders and a friend Lynn who knows lots about learning disability. They’ve really shown us their desire to help Mikey and us manage Sunday mornings better. I hope this offers some hope to those who are ready to give up and encourages leaders that they can make an enormous difference to families.
