I don’t know who is crying hardest.

Bottles have been a good friend to me. Saving me from sadness and madness in the early days with Dan and coming to the rescue again with Jemima.

Jemima loves her bottles. She does a contented little wiggle at the sight of them.

But today they go.

Jemima’s appreciation for bottles has been keeping her awake at night. Which means it keeps us awake too. A little bottle of water used to be a thing that soothed her asleep the odd time she woke. Now, it’s become the reason she wakes. A little addiction.

We’re tired enough to have the deranged confidence necessary to face the torture of the nights while she goes cold turkey.

So if you’re in the area and you hear screaming coming from our house, don’t worry – it’s only Jemima. Probably.

If you feel like praying for us that would be fabulous – I think we would all benefit from some sleep! She’s wailing so loudly at the moment, it’s so horrid.
