What’s better than a Nativity play? Nativity play of course!

I’m very excited to share this resource with you! Download it, print it and have fun with your kids!

In the download you will find:

Five stories telling the events of Jesus’ birth.
Interactive story-telling ideas.
Themed Christmas play ideas- more than enough to keep you going for the whole holiday season. Plus a special song with a verse for each story!
Craft ideas, templates and tasty recipes.
An advent calendar idea designed to complement our stories and give you daily play and craft activities.
Cut out and colour nativity figures.

As usual I am simply sharing what we’re doing as a family, hoping it might be interesting to someone else and might save you a bit of work!

The illustrated words throughout the resource are done by my lovely sister in law, Jenny Brake. I love them so much and am extremely grateful for all her help – creating something as full of character, sweetness and fun is completely beyond me. Visit her blog and tell her how very talented she is.

I would love to know if you use any of the resource pack and always like to know what you think! Email me, write comments on this blog, tell me how you tweaked things and what you enjoyed doing with your kids.

I’ll keep writing Christmassy posts through December to share how it’s going for us and to show you more ideas that you could try and that others have suggested. Look out for a post with play ideas particularly for babies!

The relatively boring bit

To download the Nativity Play resource go to the resources page and click on the links to the PDFs. I have had to break it into sections because of limits to the sizes of file I can put on the site. Sorry if that makes it a faff! Don’t forget to also download the Nativity characters PDF.

This resource is completely free for you to use with your family. Print it, use it and have loads of fun with it!

If you would like to use the material in another setting (e.g. Toddler groups, sunday clubs, services or talks) or need to make multiple copies (not just for your family) please would you send me an email first (alicebuckley (at) rocketmail (dot) com)?

If you have trouble downloading it please check that your adobe software is up to date (both downloads are PDFs). If you’re still struggling, please send me an email to let me know.

Enjoy your nativity play! I’m praying God will give us a real sense of excitement and amazement as we remember Jesus coming and get ready for him coming again!

Wow, thank you so much for this! All downloaded now and ready to print! I’m pretty sure we’ll get a lot of use out of these resources, and I’ve been meaning to have some kind of activity list to go with the advent calendar… now it’s all done for me! God bless you for going to the trouble of preparing this to share, it is greatly appreciated here! xxx

Alice you are a atar! I’ve been trying to think of advent activities to do with the girls…. and here they are! Can’t wait to get stuck in, thanks so much for the inspiration (and kick up the backside to get on with it!!!) xx

So glad it may be useful – a big part of why I do this is to kick myself up the backside! I’d get nothing done otherwise and this is a good motivator! xxx
